Our wedding is finally over, but now it's time to carry the practices we followed and the goals we set for our special day into our married life. We aim to buy less, use less, and make less waste, and to lead healthy, happy lives for ourselves and the planet.

Accommodations

Below is a list of hotels we can recommend, all of which (save one) are Green Certified, meaning a third party has verified the business' commitment to and practice of eco-friendly policies and procedures.  Those in Berkeley are much closer to our house and our venues.  But if you're looking to do some touring in San Francisco while you're here, we've listed some in the City by the Bay as well.

In Berkeley
Rodeway Inn (not Green Certified)

In San Francisco
The Joie de Vivre Collection (lots of choices throughout the city)

If staying at a hotel is outside of your price range, might we suggest giving a hostel a try.  We stayed at one in Washington, D.C. and absolutely loved the experience.  We can recommend two in Berkeley:
Downtown Berkeley YMCA
Piedmont House

And there are lots of hostels in San Francisco.  Just check out hostels.com.

If you're really into roughing it, we have some friends with experience with couch surfing who might be willing to host the right candidates.  (Couch surfing involves sleeping on the couch of someone you've never met, usually a person who has slept on other people's couches in the past, for free.)

Or you can just stay at our place.  We've got room for several people with sleeping bags, and we'd love to have you!
